DAY 2

Private Copenhagen Walking City Tour, 2,5 hours

In Copenhagen you will find tons of different ways to experience the city. Walk, drive, sail, bike or eat your way through town. Copenhagen is small enough for you to experience it by foot. But if you do not know where the good sights are and the stories they tell, then what good does it do? Luckily for you there are lots of great guided tours around the city with very different themes and objectives. The traditional walking tours will take you to the most significant sights and important places in Copenhagen city center and show you the best of the city in a few hours.

Join us during your trip to Copenhagen and view all the major sights of the Danish Capital. You will pass by the Tivoli Gardens and the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek. See through the colorful canal district and look at the most important places including the National Museum and Christiansborg Palace, home to the Danish Parliament. Continue on to the old Stock Exchange and across Kongens Nytorv, where you will be able to see the Royal Theater, world-famous for its Royal Ballet. Also, you can see the Amalienborg Palace, winter residence of the Royal Family. Here you will have the opportunity to see the Changing of the Guard. Next you will visit the Gefion Fountain and the Little Mermaid, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale. Last but not least, pay a visit to one of the many magnificent churches in Copenhagen and pass Rosenborg Castle, where the crown jewels are protected by the Royal Guard.

DAY 3

Private Tour by car to Kronborg Castle (Hamlet’s Castle), 5 hours

Kronborg Castle is probably the most famous Danish castle, known worldwide from Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The elegant castle has both served as home for the royal family until the late 1600’s, but also as an active military fortress. Towering on a promontory in Northern Zealand, Kronborg faces the sound between Elsinore and Helsingborg in Sweden. Grand fortifications with bastions and casemates used to protect the Danish land from unwanted visitors.

A tour of the castle will take you through beautifully decorated rooms with renaissance and baroque interiors that reveal the residents’ decadent lifestyle. Among the main attractions is Frederik II’s fine ballroom and the statue of Ogier the Dane, a mythical national hero that has been sitting in the cold casemates below the castle for hundreds of years. Due to its long history filled with royalty, myths and drama, Kronborg has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is definitely worth a visit.

DAY 4

Shared the Nordic Food Tour Tasting in a small group, 4 hours

The Nordic Gourmet tour let you taste the modern Nordic kitchen. Explore the West End and the old meatpacking district “Kødbyen”, the fastest developing foodie area in town. With this tour you will enjoy the new, fresh and young Danish culinary scene. All that with the landscape of the old derelict factories, turned into the most interesting new restaurants in the city.
Vesterbro is where the Copenhageners go to see real life in all its many shapes.
We start our West End gourmet tour at Vesterbro Torvehallerne right in front of the church. From here we will walk through the most interesting and coming up areas of Copenhagen. Including previously mentioned meatpacking district and Vesterbro – a new center of Copenhagen’s cultural life. We will discuss their development, all the way from rough and rowdy origins of the area, to the current paradise for the young, the edgy and the artistic.
Along the way we will have various tastings that would make up for a full meal, so no need for a big feast beforehand. This will include 2 large open-faced sandwiches called smørrebrod — a signature, a large homemade pork croquette, akvavit, handmade gourmet chocolate, organic charcuterie and vegetables as well as the number of surprises and of course beer from a local microbrewery.
Be aware that tastings may vary according to season and supply.
